"This place ended up wasting my time and ultimately resulted in an unnecessary increase in my car insurance policy. My boyfriend already had an auto insurance policy with State Farm and an agent from this office (Sara, who no longer works there) contacted HIM about purchasing additional policies. This was not something we sought out to do. She mentioned a multi car discount if we added my car to his policy. Never did we state that we were engaged or married (this is relevant later). We got the quote, which lists the multi car discount on there, and purchased a 6 month policy for $887.82 ($147.97/month) on April 23. I was billed that amount ($147.97/month) on April 23 and May 23. Then I receive an email saying my June payment will be $196.92, nearly $50 higher. I ask them to explain the jump and the person I texted took all day to reply and just said “unless you are married there is no multi-car discount sorry”. They then told me to call the next day. When I called the next day, the person I spoke to confirmed that the multi-car discount was only applicable for engaged or married couples, despite the emails and quote from Sara received stating otherwise. The person I spoke to on the phone just kept blaming Sara but at the the end of the day, Jessie’s name is listed on the quote and she should’ve checked Sara’s work. How did it take you 2 billing cycles to realize I should not have this discount? I cancelled the policy immediately and went back to my old insurance, which resulted in a $20/month jump in price from the previous renewal offer they sent me, which I had declined since I purchased the State Farm policy. Now I have to pay a higher premium with the insurance company that I was already with since State Farm produced an inaccurate quote. I would’ve never purchased the State Farm policy without the multi-car discount."
